  1. Have you tried growing annual climbers?

    Cup and Saucer Vine

I've never tried these before.  This one is the cup and saucer vine.  A vigorous annual climber and I must admit I had my doubts.  They were fairly quick to germinate (on the kitchen windowsill) and I've planted them in containers with canes in .

Initially I had the container in the greenhouse but it quickly got taken outside when I realised just how vigorous they actually are.  Would be great to have quick cover for an area in the garden.

The flower pods are now on the plant so I'll post another picture
    when the flowers are out.

  2. These small strawberry plants are just perfect for growing at the edge of a border in a flower patch.  They are much smaller than ordinary strawberries and don't suffer from getting runners which trail into everything meaning they remain much more compact.  You get the benefit from flowers and then the fruit.  The strawberry although much smaller are more fragrant in flavour.
